Alexander Paynter Bryant - Class of 2019
After graduating from Haut-Lac International Bilingual School in 2019, I built versatile experience across design, branding, and event management roles.
My early career ranged from rebranding to operational, client-facing positions at design and international sporting events, including the Hublot Polo Gold Cup Gstaad. These roles have given me a foundation in logistics, design thinking, and stakeholder management.
In 2022, I began studying Industrial & Product Design at ECAL – Lausanne, simultaneously launching Chameleon, an inclusive design project that has grown into an international brand.
Working with organizations such as the Swiss, Swedish and British National Associations for the Blind, Chameleon develops products for visually impaired communities throughout Europe and soon North America.
Our flagship product, a bag for white canes, is designed to offer both functionality and dignity to the visually impaired, adapting to diverse daily scenarios.

My path is constantly being shaped by hands on experience, from managing VIP hospitality to designing socially impactful products. Today, much like my last years of IB, I continue to merge creativity with practical problem-solving, focusing on design solutions that serve real human needs.
Memories from Haut-Lac include the many excursions, from Alpine races across Switzerland to trips to Reykjavik and Verona, the Sports Days and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
To the DP2’s, know that the spirit of family community and the individual attention given by the teachers are very rare, and have given you unique social skills and a decisiveness that will certainly serve you in your future.
I wish you a great final year and encourage you to seize all the opportunities that come your way.
